Crew 131
December 8, 2013
Elise Reeves
Crew 131 officially began simulation today. They have still been experiencing the affects of climate adjustment, such as mild dehydration, dry skin, and chapped lips. There have been simple remedies for these symptoms such as drinking more water and applying lotion and Chap Stick. One of our crewmates continues to feel slightly ill, but has been using nasal spray and cold medicine for relief. The other 5 members of the crew are still functioning at optimal levels. Three of the crewmembers will be going on their first EVA tomorrow afternoon, and they will be monitored upon their return for any effects the cold weather or harsh climate has on them. Unfortunately, Crew 131 has still not been able to get in contact with the flight surgeon, but efforts will continue tomorrow.
