Purpose:

MDRS surroundings - large area survey for base expansion.

Narrative:

Our first EVA ATV (OD (arch), EO (geo, civil), LP (aerosp), FK (report)) was performed very smoothly. We explored large terrain area, photographed important morphological features and we preliminarily identified few suitable areas for the base facilities expansion such as landing pad, space port, emergency launch pad, photovoltaic field, wind turbines location, larger greenhouses, maintenance and paved and covered surfaces etc. Also we gained important experience with ATVs performance, control and terrain driving.
