We had a busy day at the Hab with all of us staying in working on projects. The main focus of the
day was making a start on the MDRS crew video. With production lead from Howell, camera work from
Komorowski and tech help from Jessup the majority of the video was completed today and looks
amazing. We also worked on our individual projects -- a space.com video, crew training on the
telemedicine system, wiring setup for the radio telescope, final testing of temperature logging
devices, and an updated schedule for Jovian moon occultations. Despite a busy day with many
projects going on at once and the occasional need for pauses in our work or chores to stay quiet for
video recording we flowed smoothly around each other. The crew’s mood is light with talk tonight
ranging from the joys of a hot shower to an animated debate about when humans will be permanently
settled on another planet.
Watching the crew today helping each other out without being asked, keeping out of one another’s way
in our small Hab, being considerate and funny and open with each other I realize we’ve truly become
a team and I’m excited to see just what we can accomplish here at MDRS over the next 11 days!
