Purpose:

Excursion to a close site from the MDRS base for checking EVA procedure and equipment.

Narrative:

The EVA started at 14:32 instead of 14:00, which was the planned time, because we took more time to set the suits, backpacks and helmets than we planned due to the size issue of helmets and the connectivity of hoses from the backpacks. The activity went quite smoothly so we came back to the base at 16:06 although we estimated the trip would take two hours. The route had quite rough elevation differences, which was a bit surprising because we thought we chose a pretty flat route from the map for planning.
