Purpose:

The crew would like to go to the area surrounding the HAB in order to take a core sample of the soil, and to explore the terrain. Additionally, the EVA would serve to look for evidence of Jurassic Forestation and water. This EVA would not require the use of ATVs and can be accessed by the crew on foot.

Narrative:

A crew consisting of David, Arwhil, and Crystal departed the HAB on foot. They stopped at three different locations. At the first location, Crystal was able to obtain a soil sample. At the second location, David operationally tested his rover. At the final location, the team came across a Geo Cache. After the Geo Cache, the team returned to the HAB.
