Summary Title

Jupiterian visitors spent the day onboard our Capsule

MISSION STATUS:

Overall, Mission status is evolving well as planned

Morning briefings focused on

1. Water system issues and in-Hab countermeasures available

2. Two Jupiterian visitors planned to arrive between 0900 and 1030 to spend most of today onboard with clearance to participate in today’s EVA as neutral observers/film crew

3. Mission planning for the day re

    1. 0800 - Breakfast/Crew tasks and duties

    2. Water system Logistics schedules review re crew showers, dish washing, loft tank maintenance

    3. EVA of the day led by Nicholas Ip Jewell with Emmy Ip Jewell and Ilaria Cinelli

    4. 1000 - EVA donning

    5. 1053/1210 – EVA sortie/airlock time logs/73 minute long with two preliminary evaluations

    6. 1230 – Lunch time with 2 Jupiterian guests/EVA debrief

    7. 1330 to 1600 - Working time with Jupiterian visitors

    8. 1600 – Visitors leave Hab retuning to Jupiter

    9. 1630 – Crew debriefing re day shared with Jupiterian/media visitors

    10. 1700 – Crew Reports writing

    11. 2100 - Crew group meditation/yoga planned after CapCom tonight

    1. Continue to review and initial arrangement of planned pre-IRB submission pilot projects

    2. Saturnian/media visit on SOL5 and SOL6

SIM Hab and Crew preparedness and actions went well as expected.

Sol Activity Summary:

Pre-Breakfast loft water pump activation

Donning /duffing spacesuit for EVA2 sortie

Most of the day spent with Jupiterian visiting observers

EVA2 airlock decompression process

Very satisfactory EVA2 sortie /HABCOM routine with two very successful UAV evaluation and soils sample collection

Look Ahead Plan:

Several systematic checks are planned ahead of time regarding maintenance and logistics routines and studies planning. We will abide by the timelines as we planned them.

Thru tomorrow, briefings and creative scenarios testing re Saturnian/media visit on SOL 5 and SOL 6

  1. What is the plan for tomorrow?

Submitted EVA3’s investigations and testings will focus on

1. Further identifying and mapping electromagnetic fields of interference hypothesized during EVA2 with respect to observing HABCOM/EVA radio connection frequency’s distortion and fading out

2. Initiating preliminary biomedical experience and evaluation of MDRS spacesuit’s adverse impact on global human performance

Anomalies and any problems in work:

No hot water available and dysfunctional toilet are still the two essential issues at this point in time

Weather: Dry cold, no wind, clear sunny blue skies. Solid ice and frost only, no snow.

Crew Physical Status: Everyone is in excellent.

EVA: where did you go?

Mid-morning, EVA crew spend over one hour including respectively 15 and 45 minutes for UAV payload delivery [Study 1] and soils sampling and collection [Study 2] both performed nearby the Hab within 500 meter radius.
