Purpose:
Hike to the east close hill to collect data and to have exercise for the member who stayed at MDRS home for a while.
Narrative:
Although we planned that crew would leave the base at 9:30, they exited the airlock at 9:53 because of collecting the data of our pedometer for our daily health check before the trip. Since the distance from the base to the point is not so far, the trip went quite smoothly. To reach the hill, it took only about 30 minutes. They walk around the hill, then climbed up to a bit higher point, which enabled to give them a good view of the Mars' landscape. Since three of the crew member who had this trip mainly worked for their research inside the base, they enjoyed the outside work. I am sure that the trip provided refreshment for them. They came back safely to the base at 11:58.
