Sky Conditions:
Clear
Wind Conditions:
Calm
Observation Start Time:
21h30
Observation End Time:
22h30
Summary:
We went to the observatory to do the First Night Procedure, but we thought that there was a problem with the robofocus. In fact we were not observing with the star diagonal. Thus, the two-star alignment was not complete. However, we had a beautiful view of the Moon and Jupiter through our binoculars and the fingerscope, and a blurry image of some big lunar craters through the telescope.
Objects viewed:
Sirius, Moon, Jupiter
Problems encountered:
The star diagonal was not used so we could not obtain a good focus with the Robofocus. This problem was solved the next day by focusing on a distant hill during the afternoon.
