Happy Halloween from Mars! Today is our day off and it has been quite relaxing. I made breakfast this morning to the tune of blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. I think everyone enjoyed the meal. Half the crew went on a long-duration rover mission today to pick up supplies from a local station. Stergios, Jacky, and I stayed behind.
I got to take quite a few photographs today since Jacky and I climbed to the top of the bluffs to get a better view of the surrounding topography. We stayed up there for a quite a long time before climbing down and returning back to the Hab. Stergios and Jacky also did basic rover training while I documented.
Since it’s Halloween, my report is cut short due to plans we have later tonight to deliver candy to local Martian youths. Most of them have never met astronauts before, so we’re excited for the opportunity to trick-or-treat on Mars. I’ll relay the rest of the adventure in tomorrow’s Journalist Report!
Signing off,
Cassie
