Crew 160 Journalist Report Sol 9

We’re all showing some signs of isolation, i.e. hiding in rooms, excessive laughing, shorter tempers, etc. Fortunately, we’re all still friends and noticing these behaviors really may be bringing us closer together, since we have no one else out here to go to I guess. We still swear to keep our New Year’s promises for a bunch of plans we all made for after we go back to Earth, so we’ll see how it all goes.

Breakfast was a lovely meal of eggs and potatoes prepared by Ashley and Lycourgos this morning followed by an EVA to find what our EVA crew may have displaced yesterday. Ashley and Lycourgos watched as John, Hiroki, Marc and I went on a daring rescue mission to retrieve the meter stick out of the static tank holding most of our water supply. After a few blind, confused attempts, the crew was able to retrieve the stick successfully and read the levels of our water accurately today.

During lunch time we sat around to watch some “Rick and Morty” together and enjoy some snacks since our breakfast was pretty late today. Dinner will probably be some type of burrito spiced up by Ashley and Lycourgos again. I’m not sure what is in store for us to bond around tonight after last night’s puzzles, chess and checkers, but I’m sure it will be a fantastic night with the best crew that could’ve been chosen together.
