Summary:

After Cap Com closed, Kyle went out to the Observatory and spent about an 1 hour aligning the telescope. Once the alignment was complete, the astronomer made a list of what items were easily visible and showed the objects to the other members of the crew. The astronomer had planned to use the CCD camera but time did not permit. The telescope was returned back to home position and covered, and the dome was rotated to the East.
