Yesterday evening, dual wires have been soldered in parallel of the push buttons of the sphygmomanometers. This morning, it has been found some false contact. So wax has been melted on the welds (see picture #1).
Push buttons have been made of NRJ45 plugs and aluminum adhesive tape. Now the sphygmomanometers can be activated easily from outside the spacesuit (see pictures #2 to 5). The wires go through the sleeve and the glove. The switches will be taped on the sleeve in order to avoid them hanging in the air.
Regarding the soil analysis (which will assess the progress of the beginners), sand size and distribution will be measured. For saving a lot of the operator's time, a computer routine is being written to compute size distribution from a picture taken with a microscope.
