Journalist Report

We began the morning with a crew debriefing over breakfast pancakes followed by the dawning of suits and review of EVA protocol. EVA #1 then decompressed for 3 minutes prior to exiting the HAB. The core objective for the mission was to collect soil samples for studies to be conducted upon return. Commander, Susan Jewell was designated HABCOM while the Chief Medical Officer, Philippe Souvestre was the cook during the EVA mission. The EVA crew returned back to the HAB 15 minutes earlier than planed and decompressed for 3 minutes prior to entering. After duffing the suits, the entire Mars Crew 158 ate vegan paste and vegetable soup. The EVA crew reviewed and reported the experience of the mission to the remaining 158 crew members. Emmy Jewell began her soil sample study, Phillipe and Ilaria began discussing potential studies for future references, Nicholas Jewell prepared UAV drones for the EVA #2 mission, and Susan Jewell cleaned the HAB after finishing her commander reports for CAPCOM. The crew has just finished eating dinner and is now communicating with CAPCOM. Once CAPCOM communication has ceased, the crew will end the day with 30 minutes of meditation.
