2014-2015 season lettuce:

Starts were transported from the Hab to GreenHab in the morning. No

sprouting has occurred yet.

They were again transported back to the Hab this evening.

Crew 142 Martian soil project:

Nearly all radishes have germinated and put up their first leaves, and

significant growth was

observed during the day today. Chard seeds have emerged at an

increasing rate, and several have

put up their first leaves. Very exciting!

Watering Activity Notes:

2014-2015 season lettuce: starts were given a healthy spray with a

spray bottle in the morning

and in the evening as they appeared to dry out quite quickly again today.

Crew 142 Martian soil project: Experiment trays were watered in the

morning at 5mL (radishes) and

0.5mL (chard). Three of the chard treatments were watered again in the

evening with 0.5ml DI

water.

Heater Activity Notes:

Heater was turned off a 0800. Heating resumed at 1730.

Fan Activity Notes:

Fan ran from 0900 am until 1600.
